Thank you for making this documentary. This is is something that every Californian should know about. The Coastal Commission in its present state is a great example of the law of unintended consequences of the "feel good" propositions that the public votes on periodically. How can you be against the environment? The irony is that, as this film shows, may of the original supporters of the Coastal Commission in 1972 have turned against them. In many way, the Commission itself is a great microcosm of what is wrong with the state and why we are in this incredible fiscal disaster. Today's Malibu Times says it all: one article about the Coastal Commission approving an "override" LCP plan on the City of Malibu - against the City and the resident's desires - that will cost plenty to implement where there is no demonstrated need. Next to it is another article about the impending closure of many of the existing State Parks right here in Malibu. This documentary just begins to peel back the many layers of cooperation and collusion amongst many of these "Environmental" groups. We have a long way to go to fix our state but the Coastal Commission - and its many allies - is a great place to start. Pink slips anyone?
